Kelly and Adam’s Wedding

Kelly and Adam’s Wedding

Kelly and Adam's wedding at Pentney Abbey in Norfolk on 2nd June 2022 was a wonderful celebration of love with a sense of elegant and timeless romance. The gentle colour palette of soft pinks, nudes and champagnes, along with dark tones, created depth and texture that was truly breathtaking. As their florists, we were delighted to work with Kelly and Adam who fully trusted us to create something spectacular. With their confidence and support, we were able to add some stunning floral pieces that perfectly complemented the romantic setting of Pentney Abbey. During the day the happy couple were accompanied by Esther from Esther Wild Photography.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held in the historic gatehouse which made a stunning backdrop, with its grand windows and huge beams.

As Kelly made her way up the spiral staircase, she carried her bouquet made with the most exquisite peonies, garden roses, soft and wispy astilbe, and fragrant stocks. It was the perfect complement to her dress and blended perfectly with the gentle colour palette of the wedding.

When Kelly and Adam met in front of the large gatehouse window they were framed by a 12-foot high arch of flowers and foliage. It was adorned with roses, peonies, and big blousy hydrangeas in the softest shade of pink. It created a genuinely breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony.

The gatehouse was filled with family and friends who had come from far and wide to celebrate with the happy couple. The florals and decor created an enchanting and romantic atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple's vision for their special day. It was a truly magical experience, and we were honored to be a part of it.

The Wedding Reception

Once the vows had been said and rings exchanged the party moved to the barn. The venue was a perfect canvas for us to create an enchanting setting for the newlyweds and their guests. Our dusky pink table runners adorned the tables, complemented by the elegant candlesticks from our trusted supplier, Little Gem. The addition of pink candles and tealights added a warm glow to the space, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere.

The centerpieces were the main attraction, consisting of classic Gaia bowls overflowing with soft blooms such as hydrangea, roses, delicate waxflower, astrantia, and astilbe. Each arrangement was meticulously designed and carefully placed to create a cohesive look that perfectly reflected the couple's style and personality. The reception was a fabulous occasion, with family and friends gathered around the tables, sharing stories, and creating memories.

Happy Memories

Kelly and Adam's wedding was a truly magical day, as florists, we were honoured to be a part of it and to have the opportunity to create something truly spectacular for them. They trusted us completely, allowing us to bring our expertise to the table and add some wonderful floral pieces to the setting.

The 12ft high arch around the window in the gatehouse was a truly epic installation, not only in terms of the construction but also in the impact it created. It was the ideal backdrop for the ceremony and featured in many of the most incredible pictures taken by Esther.

Kelly and Adam listened to our opinions on upgrades and extras for the table designs and allowed us to style the runners, candles, and tealights to enhance their designs. It was a beautiful celebration filled with love and laughter, and we hope that the memories of their special day remain with Kelly and Adam for many years to come.
